Togo have been banned from the next two editions of the African cup of nations for their decision to withdraw from the 27th Africa Cup of Nations in Angola after a gun attack on their team by separatist group in Cabinda which led to death of two members of the team

The president of Caf, Issa Hayatou, said that the reason for the ban was because Togo's decision to pull out was based on "governmental interference".
