Incumbent governor and candidate of the all progressive grand allance {APGA} at the gubernatorial election in Anambra state, South East Nigeria has been declared winner of last Saturday guber polls by the independent national electoral commission {INEC}.
Peter Obi polled 97,843 votes and got the required spread to return to office.
Obi, was trailed by for governor and Action Congress (AC) candidate Chris Ngige who polled 60,240 votes, winning in four local governments. The others are Peoples Democratic Party's Prof. Chukwuma Soludo (59,355), Labour Party's Dr Andy Uba (26,106), Hope Democratic Party (HDP), Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (20,777) and Progressives People's Alliance (PPA), Hon. Uche Ekwunife (9,595}
Obi won in 12 local government area including the local government of Soludo and Uba while Soludo, former CBN governor won in two local governments and Andy Uba, one and Ukachukwu, one.
This is the first time an incumbent has won re-election in Anambra state.
